GSN-2015-078: Removes the Malpeque Bay, PEI closure for fishing for all bivalve molluscs.  Subject to other closures, these waters are now re-open for the harvesting of all bivalve molluscs. The area is also placed in Open Status.  Harvesting, relay and/or depuration is permitted (subject to fishing seasons and licencing requirements/restrictions (conditions of licence)).

 

CONTAMINATED FISHERIES PROHIBITION ORDER NO. GSN-2015-078


          The Regional Director General for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for the Gulf Region pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, made by Order in Council P.C. 1990-1121 of June 14, 1990*, hereby revokes Contaminated Fisheries Prohibition Order No. GSN-2015-075 issued December 2, 2015, and issues the annexed Order prohibiting fishing for contaminated fish.
