PEIFA Request to DFO a new close date of July 4th for 2020 Spring Lobster Season - Awaiting decision from Minister of Fisheries & Oceans
The PEI Fishermen's Association on behalf of the LFA 24 and 26A Lobster Advisory Committees have requested a July 4thclose date to the Spring lobster season in both LFA 24 and 26A. This request has been made to DFO and the Minister of Fisheries & Oceans who will be making the final decision on this request. Other Associations within the Gulf Region have made a similar request for July 4th. As soon as the PEIFA is notified of a decision, we will notify Advisory reps and members asap.
