UPDATE ON LFA 24 

Sunday – April 24th:

The PEIFA LFA 24 Lobster Advisory Committee held their first conference call relating to recommendations to DFO on the opening of the spring lobster season. 

With 4 harbours reporting sand issues (awaiting necessary dredging activity or additional Small Craft harbour assessment), the recommendation was to hold another Advisory Committee conference call on Tuesday @5pm to reassess forecast and harbour safety. 

The Advisory Committee will request the LFA 24 DFO weather call be postponed to Wednesday morning with an earliest possible recommended opening of Friday.
