2015 Lobster Season OpeningUpdate

Today, the Prince Edward Island Fishermen’s Association (PEIFA) and Department of Fisheries & Oceans (DFO) held a conference call to discuss a potential opening date for the PEI Spring Lobster season. After consultation with DFO and PEIFA Lobster Fishing Area 24 & 26A Advisory Committees, there is agreement to hold another conference call on Monday, May 4^th to further discuss this issue. A majority agreement was achieved as to a possible opening date of Thursday, May 7^th, 2015.
