Good Afternoon,

Through on-going engagement, DFO’s Ghost Gear Program is working on the Canadian Ghost Gear Action Plan, which includes regulatory development as a key component. Five action areas have been identified through our previous engagement activities:

  1. Risk reduction measures,
  1. Ghost gear retrievals,
  1. Lost gear reporting,
  1. Storage and proper disposal of ghost gear, and
  1. Traceability of fishing gear through its lifespan.

We are interested in meeting with you to discuss these action areas in detail at a Ghost Gear Engagement Workshop at the following locations:

Thursday February 19

Rodd Royalty

14 Capital Drive, Charlottetown, PEI
