Watch for Tagged Lobster!

Keep your eyes open for tagged lobster this season. 4,715 lobsters were tagged late in 2025 at the request of PEI fishers and we expect fishers to start seeing them when you start hauling!
This image shows all the ways you can report the tags.
If it is a legal sized lobster you are not required to return the lobster to the water, but doing so results in additional recaptures and more detailed information about movement.

You do not need to remove the tag to report it. Whether you keep the lobster or return it to the water, please report it either way.
